A look at the viral TikTok trend
While fall for you is a tale of love and pain, TikTok has made it a hilarious trend.
The viral trend was started by user “heyzmsc” who posted their parody version of the song last year on March 17.
The TikToker is seen dressed as a punk rock avatar wearing a black beaded jacket, complete with emo-inspired eye makeup and hair. He records himself performing in front of the mirror and sings the lines of the song “because tonight will be the night I fall in love with you”, in a high, almost shrill voice.
Since then, many TikTok users have taken to the “heyzmsc” audio and created their own versions of the trend.
Some have even gone so far as to record their pets with an emo bang.
Here are some hilarious trending videos
TikTok users have certainly gotten extremely creative with this trend, referencing it in various hilarious real-life situations.
