Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson was the special guest of the Tedeschi Trucks Band at a concert the two groups performed eight years ago today. Robinson joined the TTB on the last two issues of their set at the Bank Of America pavilion in Boston and the performance audio can be shown below for this installment of Full show Friday.

The group led by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks has combined “Do I Look Worried” and “Misunderstood” from Decided, a studio album that will arrive a few weeks later, to open the evening. Next, “Get What You Deserve” from the Derek Trucks Band repertoire. The APC then reverted to Decided for “It’s So Heavy” before covering “That Did It” by George Harrison and “That Did It” by Bobby “Blue” Bland.

Other originals followed as a well-stuck “Bound For Glory” was followed by Derek presents “The Storm” and “Midnight In Harlem”. Chris Robinson then emerged according to the setlist ratings for Definitely title track. While Chris’s contributions are not audible on “Made Up Mind”, he flaunts his powerful flute and harmonica skills on Sly & The Family Stone’s medley “Simple Song”> “I Want To Take You Higher” which closes the set.

Listen to an audience recording recorded by Jason Adler below:
