Announcing Easter Events and Ocean City Pops

A full calendar of spring events continues Easter weekend in Ocean City with a free egg hunt on the boardwalk, a sunrise service on the Ocean City Music Pier, a piano concert and a fashion walk outside the Ocean City Music Pier.

The second of two Great Egg Hunts will take place on the boardwalk on Saturday, April 16. Participating merchants will invite children up to 7 years old to visit stores with their families to collect eggs filled with treats and surprises. The event will run from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or while supplies last. Flyers will direct families to participating stores. The rainy date is April 17.

All are invited to join a traditional non-denominational group Easter Sunrise Service at 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 17 at the Ocean City Music Pier. Local clergy will lead the celebration, which will include Easter music. The service will also be streamed via Zoom for anyone unable to attend the live event:

OceanCity Easter Fashion Walk takes place with judgment at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 in front of the Ocean City Music Pier on the promenade of Moorlyn Terrace. The annual event pays homage to a time when families showed off their finery while strolling the boardwalk.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the free event and no pre-registration is required. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed children, teens, adults and families. the Philadelphia Keys will return to Ocean City with their hit dueling piano show to kick off the festivities at noon on Sunday. The show will continue after the Fashion Stroll.


The Ocean City Pops Orchestra will open the 2022 summer season with a special show featuring legendary swing band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 26 at the Ocean City Music Pier.

After 28 years, 11 records and more than 3,000 concerts, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy continues its efforts to promote and revitalize swing music. Drawing inspiration from the creators of this uniquely American art form, the band’s original horn-infused music and legendary high-energy show introduce the genre to a new, younger generation, while remaining respectful of the music’s rich heritage.

The group will perform with the Ocean City Pops, who return for a full season of concerts under the direction of maestro Vince Lee.

APRIL 30 – Sports memorabilia show: Former Philadelphia Phillies manager Charlie Manuel and former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Seth Joyner will be part of the show at the Ocean City Music Pier. They will welcome fans and host Q&A sessions. Vendors of merchandise and items representing a variety of sports and teams will be on sale at the show.
